SWIM PARTY AT THE POLLARDS....

The kids went over their Grandparents last weekend to spend some time in the pool with their cousins - Sadie and Sable.

Sable comes in for a close-up.

Marley and Sable prepare for their jump.

Sable is first out of the gate.

Marley is not far behind.

Sadie realizes she is missing all the action.....

And joins the party in the pool.

No towel necessary.

Sadie is back in the shade resting.

Sable drools on the camera lens.

Papa Tim and Marley enjoy their favorite swing.

Gray is on the loose in the neighborhood.

The family poses for a quick picture before saying goodbye.

FOURTH OF JULY - PART II

Grayson keeps cool in the summertime by spraying himself in the face with a water bottle.

Marley in the yard.

Grayson beats his Grandmother over the head with a baseball bat.

Now he works on her kneecap's.

Marley and her friends are at the park to see fireworks.

Storm clouds begin to roll in....it rained briefly - just long enough to cool everyone down, but the show did go on.

Marley and her Grandparents enjoy the fireworks.

MINI SUMMER VACATION - PLAN B

Despite the fact that our original plans for a short weekend getaway went up in smoke, we decided to go with Plan B. We packed our swimsuits and met up with friends for a "staycation" right here in town.

A beautiful resort down the road in Scottsdale.

And then the Smith's arrived......

Grayson welcomes the guests with a moon.

The clocktower is also a three-story tall waterslide.

Which Marley went down about 50 times.

The beach - Arizona style.

Grayson and Mom play, while a headless lady in a bikini strolls by.

We liked to play under the waterfall.

Time for a break and snack.

WILDFIRE = NO VACATION IN THE MOUNTAINS FOR THE SMITH'S

Back in December 2010 we decided it would be neat to plan a summer family getaway - when it was 110+ degrees around our place in June we would travel 4 hours northeast into the mountains where it was 30 degrees cooler and stay in a log cabin next to a lake....it was a good idea at the time, but then half of the state of Arizona caught on fire and our vacation went up in smoke. So tune in sometime in the fall to see some great pictures of the Smith Family Summer Vacation in Greer, AZ (take II).
