Thanksgiving Weekend

This weekend we celebrated Thanksgiving at home with Tim, Nancy and our cats. We also went to North Scottsdale for the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at Kierland Commons. This was our 2nd tree lighting event in 2 weeks and its not even December....

Marley tickles the ivories while Grayson jams on the drums. They could be the next Donnie & Marie Osmond.

While waiting for our guests to arrive on Thanksgiving, Marley and Grayson  drove their plasma car at high speeds through the house. Grayson appears a little nervous, but big sister seems to have the situation under control and nobody was seriously injured.

Marley proudly displays the table that she set.

Fast forward 2 days to the Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

Nice tree.

Gray isn't too impressed.

Marley enjoys the festivities while Grayson stares at the palm tree.

The happy family.

More of the family.

ROADTRIP TO ANTHEM, AZ

This Saturday we took a roadtrip about an hour north of the Smith homestead to Anthem, AZ to see the Tallest Christmas Tree in the United States. We intended to take some photos of the kids next to it, but when we got there we realized that it was fenced off and we could not actually get within 20 ft of it. Regardless, we saw it and even had time stop off at the park to let the kids run around.

Marley prevented Grayson from swimming with the ducks!

Marley thinks her brother is silly.

Look - no cavities!

A scenic shot of a nearby mountain.

A couple of cool dudes.

Here he comes......

Weeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Lets see how many Smiths can fit down the slide at once....

(How did the cameraman even get this shot?)

It was all smiles coming down the slide!

See you next time.

Below you will find the first recorded evidence of Grayson Linwood Smith standing on his own. A quick thinking Mom whipped out her camera phone while at daycare to document the historic milestone.

A Short Video Featuring Grayson L. Smith

Although Grayson has yet to walk, he does enjoy running behind his push-toys. When he is not practicing the art of walking, he enjoys shredding tissues and leaving trails throughout the house.

FIELD TRIP TO SUPERSTITION FARMS

MARLEY'S PRESCHOOL WENT ON A FIELD TRIP TODAY TO THE SUPERSTITION FARMS IN MESA, AZ. IT WAS A DAIRY FARM, SO NO ANIMALS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS BLOG. THE PICTURES ARE IN REVERSE ORDER BECAUSE SOMEONE UPLOADED THEM BACKWARDS AND WAS TOO LAZY TO RE-DO IT. COMPLAINTS MAY BE FORWARDED TO GRAYSON L. SMITH.

At the end of the tour, Marley enjoyed some ice cream made with milk produced at the farm. It was udderly delightful.

Marley discovered the stash of hay...

Gray was enjoying the nice weather.

Marley was trying to figure out how to hotwire the tractor.

The little boy in the brown sweatshirt is seconds away from getting rundown.

The gang listens to the farmer explain how they get milk from the cow to the grocery store shelf.

Marley getting cooties from dirty farm animals...

Marley and her friend found a rabbit.

Marley makes a new friend.

Gray wants to see whats going on too.

Gray quickly reconsiders after the horse chews off his shoe.

Where are this kids parents?!!

We crowded into the back of a tractor to see all 2,000 cows on the farm.

Farmer Joe explains how a chicken gets from the farm to Chik-Fil-A.

Grayson checks the electric fence to make sure it really works.

Marley & Co survey the farm.

The troublemakers arrive on the scene.
