Weekend Stuff

Marley (front row, far right) was in the school play Friday afternoon.

 

Saturday morning we attended a children's event at the Scottsdale Civic Center.

 

 

Marley was placed under arrest.

Sunday the kids officially kicked off pool season.

Maisy The Dog

Our new dog, Maisy, came home on Tuesday and she has kept us very busy. We are guessing she is approximately 3 months old and like a baby, she eats and poops a lot.

 

South Mountain

Sunday we took a hike along South Mountain outside of Phoenix.

The Newest Member of the Smith Family Zoo

 

Saturday we adopted a dog from a local rescue group. She is a 9-week old flat-coated retriever and Australian shepherd mix. Her mom was found along with a litter of puppies in the desert outside of Ajo, AZ, which is located about 40 minutes north of the US-Mexico border. She will not officially come home for a few days. She is scheduled for a vet visit first on Tuesday. Perhaps then we will have all decided on a name. Grayson's suggestions included, "Mustache Head".

Hot Rods

Saturday we attended the NHRA Nationals event at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park. It was a first for all of us. Some business partners were able to get us behind the scenes and allowed us to hang out with the Tony Pedregon Racing team. The kids got to meet the driver, eat with the race team, and watch them work on car.
