GRAYSON THE ARTIST

ALTHOUGH MARLEY IS AN ACCOMPLISHED ARTIST, HER LITTLE BROTHER IS COMING INTO HIS OWN AND STEPPING OUT OF HER SHADOW. HE HAS REALLY TAKEN A LIKING TO PAINTING. BELOW WE HAVE COMPILED SOME PICTURES OF THE MASTER AT WORK WHILE IN HIS STUDIO AT DAYCARE.

Taking a break with pals.

PARADA DEL SOL

....And for you Gringos, the Parada del Sol is the Parade of the Sun. Its a Rodeo/Old West parade down the main drag in Scottsdale. We had a good time watching the parade - and to top it off Marley rode the mechanical bull.

"When is this thing going to start?!!!"

Mom seems to be looking the wrong direction(?)

Marley doesn't want her picture taken.

Marley mounts the bull and prepares for action.

And off she goes.

It started out pretty slow.

But the pace picked up.

Marley held on like a pro.

She has a future in bull riding.

A LITTLE OF THIS AND A LITTLE OF THAT

WE HAVE BEEN BUSY ENJOYING OUR NEW TV AND HAVE BEEN NEGLECTING THE BLOG, SO AN UPDATE WAS OVERDUE. A COUPLE OF WEEKENDS BACK WE ATTENDED THE "RODEO" AT MARLEY'S PRESCHOOL. THE KIDS HAVE ALSO BEEN KEEPING BUSY AROUND THE HOUSE. WE HAVE PUT SOME PHOTOS BELOW TO DOCUMENT THEIR ADVENTURES...

A Project: To celebrate the 100th day of school, Marley made a picture with 100 Fruit Loops.

Grayson chilling out on his couch.

Marley the Cowgirl panning for gold.

The kids checking out Rusty the horse.

Everyone gathers 'round Cowboy Gary to hear some tall tales.

Marley seems to think its pretty funny.

Marley in the saddle.

Back home - playing with her baby dolls.

Grayson saying 'hi'.

Dad was babysitting Friday night.

Cheeeeeeese.

They settle down for storytime in the igloo.

Gray seems to be fading...

The surprise ending of "Five Little Monkeys" gets Marley everytime.

RANDOM VIDEOS

While cleaning out the memory of my phone, I found some random videos made over the past year. None of them are that exciting and due to the fact that my phone is a piece of junk, the quality of the videos are poor. However, because I have nothing else to do I posted the videos below.

The kids running through the produce aisle at the grocery store.

This was made sometime last winter. Marley was on her bike and the cameraman was rollerblading.

This was Marley trying a dance-video game at the movie theater. The video ended abruptly because Marley swung around on a pole and knocked her head into another pole. There were no serious injuries.

SUNDAY MORNING IN ARIZONA

Still enjoying the 70+ degree weather this weekend, we got up Sunday morning and went on a hike around South Mountain in Phoenix.

The kids at the "trailhead".

A random person with a midget in a backpack.

Some scenery.

Marley and Mom head up the trail.

Marley stops to enjoy the view and flex her muscles.

Lots of rocks.

The ladies stop to check on the slowpokes behind them.

Marley and Mom are all smiles at the top of their climb.

The midget in the backpack ignores the camera while checking out the view.

The "East Valley" below.

More rocks.

Somewhere in the middle of this picture Marley and Mom can be spotted on their way back down the trail.

Downtown Phoenix can be seen in the distance.

Marley showing off by jogging the last portion of the trail.

Everyone was quite hungry, so we called it a day and got some lunch.
