Camping at Woods Canyon Lake - Part I

This weekend we took the tent, the dog and the kids, and headed out on an adventure. We camped at Woods Canyon Lake, which is located in the Sitgreaves National Forest and/or halfway between Payson and Show Low, AZ.

7,500 ft above sea level and looking south towards Payson, AZ.

The kids were able to get within 15 feet of the elk.

Mighty Mud Mania 2013

It was that time of year again for the annual Mighty Mud Mania. Despite the scorching 109-degree temperature, the crowds turned out today.

Memorial Day Weekend 2013

We relaxed over Memorial Day weekend. Sunday afternoon/evening we listened to live music in the park and Monday we had some friends over for a little swim party.

Sunday we got out early to beat the heat and spent a couple of hours at the park. Then the dog treated us to breakfast.
