THE ROCKWALL CLIMB

Saturday night we attended Grandma Nancy's holiday work party at the Arizona Science Museum. Everyone had a good time. The highlight was Marley climbing the huge rockwall. Even Grayson was impressed.

MARLEY'S BIRTHDAY WEEK OFFICIALLY KICKS OFF

As the big 5th birthday approaches, we took Marley and her good friend out for a special girls day. They started off by getting their hair, nails and make-up done. Next we cruised next door for a quick bite to eat before heading to a local childrens theater production of "Beauty and the Beast". Then the girls went out for ice cream sundaes. Finally we let them stretch their legs and work off that ice cream by going to a local park. By the end of the day the girls were still going strong, but Mom and Dad were ready for a break.

More Activity Around the House

Other happenings around the house this week, which fortunately for Marley were overshadowed by Grayson's first steps, included putting up Christmas decorations and Marley writing her name in permanent black marker on the side of the sofa.

Our couch...with Marley's name on it.

Marley wisely played dead after vandalizing the furniture.

A little Christmas ham.

Gray likes to be comfortable when he decorates the tree.

He is admiring his work.

The tree is almost done. And Grayson has put some clothes on.

Grayson found a new hiding spot.

MORE BIG HAPPENINGS....

It took 16 months, but Grayson has finally stood up and walked.

Click on the videos below for some of the fanciest walking in the Southwest.

Part I: A Few Steps

Part II: A Few More Steps

Part III: Getting a Little Tired and Sloppy

Stay tuned for our next blog posting, which will feature the fine artwork of Marley...on our couch...with a black permanent marker.
